Our centre is located in Misterton in the heart of the countryside, surrounded by stunning natural beauty.

It has been the home for Yorkshire Christian Camp since 2002 which is an all age Christian camp providing a varied range
of activities along with sharing the
Good News of Jesus Christ to both
young and old.

You will be able to disconnect from the noise and distractions of everyday life and enjoy a peaceful and serene environment where you can connect with God
and nature.
Misterton Christian Centre is a facility for Christian groups looking to come together for church camps and weekends.
Our goal is to provide a peaceful and welcoming environment that fosters
spiritual growth and community building.
The site has a selection of permanent buildings with the largest being the main barn that includes a fully equipped kitchen, prep room and store together with a large main hall which will comfortably seat 120 people, with additional seating available in the canopy attached
to the entrance into the barn.

Attached to the main building there is a modern toilet & shower block that also includes a disabled shower and toilet facility with easy access. There is also laundry room and a separate washing up facility adjacent to the barn.
The site has onsite accommodation for small groups that includes two shepherd huts and a two story dormitory that will sleep
around 30 people.
There is a large camping & activity field that has electric hook up points and water points with separate toilet blocks located on either side of the field that also includes
a chemical disposal point.
There is also a small children's play area adjacent to the main buildings.

In a small way the work of the charity commenced in 1946 as "Ossett & District Sunday School Camp" reflecting the fact that it began with a handful of young people from a church in Ossett, West Yorkshire.

"Saving lives since 1946".
As interest was shown by other churches in the same area the numbers increased. As the growth continued, it became clear that the work ought to be a registered charity with the Charity Commission.
On the 14th October 1983 a Trust known
as Yorkshire Sunday School Camp Trust
[registration number 515455]
was formed.

The objective of the charity for the public benefit, is the advancement of Christian faith through evangelism in general.

Later in 2016 the trust became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation with all assets and liabilities of the former trust transferred to Misterton Christian Centre [CIO].
The key aim of the trust is to provide a location and facilities where Christian
outreach and fellowship can thrive.
